Wall Sections

Detail wall sections are a helpful tool for learning how buildings or systems are technically put together. The parts of the wall section show how the layers work together in order to make a functional and correct wall construction. The drawings are from the class in my 3rd year of architecture school. The first drawing is a wall section of Jesus College at Cambridge by Niall McLaughlin Architects. The other two drawings are standard wall systems: precast concrete panels and metal panels with standing seams.
